Summer sandals, folks! Does it ever stop? Not around here! We’re wheelin’ and dealin’ with the best of them.
Sorta.
Here’s the thing … I’ve never really been a fan of The Row. Frankly, their prices are offensive. But, that aside, I find their stuff to be... confusing. Or maybe (likely) I’m just not cool enough? What was that lumberjack log carrier phase they went through?
Then, a few months ago… and I hate to admit it, they got me! And they got me good. I’m a child of the 90s! You can’t dangle colorful jellies and expect me not to bite. What a throwback. This led me to their mesh flats and from there the can of worms opened. And while I still refuse to pay their prices (my mom bought our jellies from a drugstore), I do find myself using The Row as inspiration.
Before we start, please note that their model below has a towel around her neck. She’s wearing a trench coat, a silk dress… and a towel. They’re taking us for a spin! I digress.
Blue Jellies!
My find?! Ancient Greeks! I can testify these are real cute and very comfortable. Worn happily all weekend.
A slight, but great variation…
From here, let segue into their mesh flats.
Khaite’s equally overpriced/super sweet version…
Here’s the handful I found…
Elizabeth Cardinal actually did a 47 summer appropriate shoes Stack today. Maybe it's best to stop while you're ahead here and just hop over to hers?

They then threw a nicer flip flop at us, which I dig, especially with a great dress.
Madewell came in strong for this…
A.Emery also has a great version…
Lastly, we have the ole basic rubber flip-flop…
Instead!…
And that sums up my relationship with The Row! Another hard-hitting topic that I’m glad we covered. May the sandal gods be with you this summer.
Until next week!
Hi! 😊 Don't know if you might be interested but I love to write about sustainability (fashion, travel and our relationship with clothes). I'm a thrift shopping and vintage clothing lover who likes to explore the impact textile industry and consumistic culture have on the environment and also what people can do to shift the tendency.
